Ok first of all the picture does not match what it looks like. Though that may depend on the sized. I got the larger of the two of the olive green, and I must say though it may not look the same it's basically the same thing, only it feels, and looks more like an old bag. It's new, but has a vintage look like it came out of the early to mid 20th century. It's not perfect. It could close a bit better, and the pouches could be a bit bigger. I can fit ammo box sizes similar to the Perfecta brand of 50 rounds of.40 cal, but american eagle doesn't fit. Of course having the larger bag makes it so you can fit more in the main compartment. I can fit my Glock case, some headphones, a holster, and a few boxes of ammo. Making it an excellent range bag, which is what I got it for.
As a messenger bag it should do just fine. I don't think my laptop would fit in it, but I wouldn't put my laptop in something that isn't foam protected anyways. It's a plain surplus bag. Use at as a changing bag for you infant, a large purse, or carry on bag. It should be alright. Just know you may not get what the picture is.
Basically it's what I wanted. It's big enough to hold 8.5" X 11" papers or magazines, and has a nice long shoulder strap. It's folds flat when empty.
I wouldn't put anything too heavy in it, but I wasn't looking for anything really heavy duty. I have that already. I wanted something lighter in weight.
It's a shame that Fox discontinued this larger size bag. I'm glad that I found this one and at a dirt cheap price.
This was a gift, and was well received
I ordered this bag because I was looking for a hands-free way to carry my Kindle. When it arrived, it proved large enough to hold my kindle inside its leather case with lots of room left over. If I were still working, I could put in my Kindle, my lunch, some small snacks for break time, and a couple Dvds to watch after work.
I also find the small side pockets convenient. I keep the recharger for my Kindle in One and the recharger for my cell phone in the other.
The bag is made of a light, but strong, canvas that is not too hot to carry in summertime.
Altogether, a most useful bag.
what a great bag! It can carries a lot of ammo and takes the weight without worries of ripping.
